Problem

The containers are hard to miss, and are often placed in wrong designated areas; such as public spaces. As such, people had thought to PODS is with only on-site storage as opposed to moving.

Solution

To make people consider PODS for moving as well as storage, the rebranding the company is focusing on a strong focus on both services. The new website will make PODS competitive in the moving and storage market.

Old Design

Challenge

To comb through the immense amount of content on the then-current website and identifying what was redundant or unnecessary. With the core content revealed, we were able to create a strategy for each page.

Design Approach

Introduced human photography that feels welcoming and updated client's brand colors and typography so it looks more modern than current site.

Develop new systems-such as; guided experience using focused navigation, relatable customer stories module and an efficient checkout flow.

User flow & wireframe for container selection

PODS customers were struggling with ordering containers through the website. PODS’ complicated order forms were not efficient for both PODS delivery teams and customers.

The new booking process uses progressive disclosure to allow customers to focus on one task at a time. We grouped into three different pages to avoid overwhelming the users with too much information on one page. As a customer proceeds through checkout, additional costs are displayed on the process bar in real-time for complete price transparency.

MOBILE VERSION

The progress box turns into the sticky footer. When the Sticky footer closes, the users can see the total estimated cost, blue live progress bar, and Next Step CTA.
